ABOUT US

Family owned and operated by Alfred Bonilla Jr. and his family since its’ humble beginnings in 1979, the continued growth over the past 35 years has surpassed all belief. When Alfred first started his company after a pool contractor left him with an unfinished swimming pool and absconded with Alfred’s hard-earned money, he decided that he could finish the pool himself, and quickly discovered his hidden talent for building and crafting pools. With his pool-building skills and background knowledge in electronics, Alfred started Spa Crafters, Inc. out of his garage, but quickly outgrew the space, which led him to opening a shop on Freedom Dr. and Broadway where he remained for 22 years. Alfred’s dream didn’t stop there. With the continued growth and lack of space, he expanded the business by building a 20,000 sq. ft. showroom and warehouse in 2001.

Cal Salt™ Filtration Sanitation System produces a pure form of chlorine by electrolysis of salt (NaCl) in order to sanitize your spa water. After the salt is converted to chlorine and the bacteria are killed, the chlorine converts back to salt and this process is ongoing. The salt concentration used is very low (less than that in a human tear).

“Cal Spas had a beautiful spa on display and we decided to purchase that. The crew came that very next week for the installation. The spa came with a gazebo and some barstools. It has a little bar area and we really like that with some planters, it looks super nice. It's a great size for us and my grandkids also enjoy it. It's like a small pool for them. When it comes to this kind of purchase, be ready to keep good maintenance on it. We've had a couple of issues where we didn't put the chemicals in correctly so we had a little fungus. We had to empty out the spa and suction out all the jets and clean it out real well and refill it.”

It has a light that changes color, and that has always worked. And the Jets are good. If I went down and looked at the new ones, I would want another one.
